Anti-vaccine activists are making up stories about the covid-19 vaccine--they're falsely claiming it's killing people. They're spreading these fabricated stories on social media. Why? As clickbait for some site selling "alternative" medicines? In some cases money may be the motive. But sometimes they just seem to be fanatically sticking to the lies in the face of facts, out of sheer murderous obtuse stubbornness.

Why is it so important to insist on being right, even to the point of lying, when you know you're wrong? Anti Vaccine activists must know that they're mistaken--because they have no genuine evidence that vaccines are harmful.

"Anti-vaccine groups are exploiting the suffering and death of people who happen to fall ill after receiving a covid shot, threatening to undermine the largest vaccination campaign in U.S. history. In some cases, anti-vaccine activists are fabricating stories of deaths that never occurred."This is exactly what anti-vaccine groups do," said Dr. Peter Hotez, an infectious diseases specialist and author of "Preventing the Next Pandemic: Vaccine Diplomacy in a Time of Anti-Science."Anti-vaccine groups have falsely claimed for decades that childhood vaccines cause autism, weaving fantastic conspiracy theories involving government, Big Business and the media. Now, the same groups are blaming patients' coincidental medical problems on covid shots, even when it's clear that age or underlying health conditions are to blame, Hotez said. "They will sensationalize anything that happens after someone gets a vaccine and attribute it to the vaccine," Hotez said."

ONE man died of a rare pre-existing condition called immune thrombocytopenia--it was no more the fault of the vaccine than it is if a person who just got one happened to be hit by a bus after getting his shot. All the other supposed deaths relating to the vaccine are made up.

But there will be deaths in all this--needless deaths from covid-19 resulting from someone believing anti-vaxxer nonsense and refusing the vaccine. Anti-vaxxers are therefore responsible for these coming deaths.

It's plain ignorance and grossly irresponsible to refuse the vaccine because of unsupported stories put about on social media or at some lunatic website. It's moral stupidity to insist on spreading these lies when the consequences of this anti-science anti-vax propaganda is death.
