TELEVANGELIST SELLS FAKE CURE FOR CORONAVIRUS ON TV – ONLY $125.00! ARE YOU STUPID ENOUGH TO BUY IT?

We were just talking about the return of con artist evangelist Jim Bakker–and now he’s using his show and website to sell a fake “cure” for coronavirus. A woman named Sherill Sellmann who likes to call herself a doctor–she isn’t–suggested on Jim Bakker’s show that a product sold on Bakker’s website might be effective at “protecting against and killing the novel coronavirus”, Newsweek informs us.

“The guest, naturopathic Dr. Sherrill Sellman, said that Silver Solution—a product that can be purchased on Bakker’s web store—has been found to be effective on viruses related to the one from Wuhan. Further, she said Silver Solution could bolster a person’s immune system and potentially make their bodies less susceptible to the virus.” The stuff supposedly contains “colloidal silver” which in reality has NOT been shown to have any real health benefits whatever. . .Sellman claims to be a naturopathic doctor, but even naturopaths–who are not accredited physicians–deny she has a degree even from their odd little institutions of spurious learning.

Bakker’s viewers are so credulous they are probably wasting their money on this fraud. That, of course, is very stupid. But you know what else is stupid? That the FDA does so little –if anything, under Trump–to shut crooks like Bakker and Sellman down.
